Ah. There comes a time when every government must succumb to racial prejudice and profiling in hopes of dispersing any imminent conflict. Although, I suppose this conflict and unease has been lingering for many months. It does make me wonder if this will lead to a mass exodus of people simply leaving their home for a better life beyond the Vohemaro-Ivonian border. Nobody finds pleasure in being labeled. By issuing these identification cards, the government is saying that every demihuman in Vohemar is by default culpable. This notion of "innocent until proven guilty" is subverted and rendered into a more condemning form, "guilty until proven innocent". It is a tricky matter.

I do not understand how this will prevent any future acts of terrorism. Rather than creating an uproar among a good portion of the population, would a more thorough investigation have not sufficed? Nothing good has ever come out of pointing fingers at innocent parties.

If the Vohemaro government's goal is to stir further distress, they have already succeeded.
